Almond Blossom Photoshoot | Woodland, CA

If you are from California, you probably have seen beautiful photos with the beautiful white blossoms as the backdrop on your Instagram feed, or perhaps around town. Last spring, I absolutely wanted to host mini sessions with these stunning blossoms, but I found out I was waaay too late! I knew this time around, I had to be well prepared as these trees only blossom for a short period of time from late February to early March.

Where Are the Blossoms Located?

The majority of the Almond Orchids are located in the Central Valley. Modesto, Sacramento, Fresno, and Visalia are the cities that are most known for there Orchid Farms. This does mean, it may require travel for some or most people but trust me when I say it is SOOO worth it!

This year, I was able to host Almond blossom minis at the beautiful Abele Farms. The session took place late February and we were lucky to have had a sunny evening and no rain!

What Do I Wear?

I want YOU to be the start of the show and will always recommend to wear light neutral colors. They tend to blend well with the white blossoms. Colors to avoid would be bright colors.
